This issue represents the second half of what used to be one issue, but where the first half was updating a lot of material that had been in the old #1, this issue is almost entirely stuff that was originally left on the cutting room floor. But when comics leave stuff out, that usually means it never got drawn to begin with, so this issue is drawn fresh with only a few panels re-used from the old.

The cover represents what the whole issue is about: These kids do not fit into normal society. We deal with Telepath (still a minor) being required to attend school (hilarity ensues), and introduce the rest of the team and how they are all their own kind of misfits where they're at. It's the issue that lays the groundwork for why they really need to form the team they become, and we're so glad we finally got to use all these scenes.
