TMNT Redesign Project: Donatello
Each year for our Patreon during July, our supporters pick a property and Adam does a complete ground-up redesign. In 2020, the winner was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - one of Adam's favorite things, and something he'd wanted to take a swing at redesigning for a long time. This is the result. Enjoy!

Donnie, the smartest turtle, carries the most gear. He's a gadget-guy, using all manner of homemade tech to avoid combat. He's good at fighting because he doesn't want to fight.
Donnie is long and lean, like his bo-staff. Wanted him to feel like a lovable dork. Adorkable.
Costume exploration. Mostly a matter of how many pouches can we fit, and in which arrangement do they look coolest. Dangling bits will whirl around as he swings his staff, giving him lots of visual dynamism.
Added goggles to his mask to set him apart. Liked them so much we added glasses to his casual design. Donnie is nearsighted, apparently.
