TMNT Redesign Project: Casey Jones

Each year for our Patreon during July, our supporters pick a property and Adam does a complete ground-up redesign. In 2020, the winner was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - one of Adam's favorite things, and something he'd wanted to take a swing at redesigning for a long time. This is the result. Enjoy!

Casey was fun to work with. Wanted to take his design a little further than we've seen it; more defensive pads, more aggressive. Wanted him to look like a villain the first time you meet him.

Hair exploration. We were thinking a lot of CM Punk with Casey, but felt that the ragged, short mohawk (bottom, #2) better fit where he would be at the start of the story.

Exploring facial hair and masks. Again: we wanted him scary. He's an angry, vengeful person at first; he's hurt, he's been abused. He wants to scare people. It takes a while for his softer side to emerge through the help of the other heroes.

Costuming exploration. How much biker is too much biker? XD Final design took bits of each, as is usually the case.
